Michelle's "good news" trip

  1. Since reference has been made in this blog of Veronica's serious car accident a few weeks ago and the subsequent impact her circumstances have had in our lives, I think it is relevant to bring to your knowledge some of Veronica's feelings as expressed to me recently. "One of my greatest regrets about my accident is that it is kind of taking the attention away from Michelle's situation and the support we all need to give mainly to her. It is Michelle whom we all need to continue to support and pray for at this time, not me. She is valiantly fighting a horrible illness, I am just recovering from a bad accident." And then she added, "the good thing about it is that next summer we will all feel better about life, and I am excited about that." I am so thankful for the many prayers offerend in Michelle's behalf literally around the world by friends of different faiths and even by people we don't really know. As someone observed, as horrible and terrifying as it is, cancer can also be an illness of love. Thank you all for the love extended to Michelle (and now also to Veronica) through words, thoughts and prayers, and deeds.
