  1. I remember years ago, when I used to travel for work, coming back home and finding Beatriz and our little ones waiting at the gate (obviously long before 9-11). Their eyes were bright and full of anticipation for seeing daddy after many days or even weeks. I remember how it felt walking from the airplane to the gate to see those that I loved the most in the whole world, it was for sure the best reward any parent could have. It really didn't matter who else was at the airport waiting for me, my eyes went first to mom and my little ones. Until yesterday I had never experienced it from the other side being myself the one waiting for two of the people I love the most, mom and Michelle returning from Mexico. And surely for the first time in my life I relived those moments thru the eyes and the heart of Michelle. I was there at the foot of the escalator and a lot of emotions went through me as pure electricity as I saw them descending to the baggage claim area, and by looking at Michelle I rediscovered those feeling of mine from long ago because her eyes were not on me but she was looking for her husband and her little ones. What a wonderful mother and wife Michelle is and how proud I am of her inheriting all those noble and tender feelings surely from the example of her own mother. I know for a fact that our other children experience the same emotions when they return home. Thank you my dear Michelle for your example and for allowing me to remember those great times of sweet reunion. I hope Doug will always know and value the precious gift he has in his life having you as his wife and the mother of his children. The same goes to my other sons-in-law.
    I love you all,
    Dad
